The Beyond Adventure Team

Beyond Adventure is owned and managed by Stephen Macdonald who has worked full-time in outdoor education for the past 19 years. He holds British Association of Ski Instructors Telemark and Nordic qualifications, is a British Canoe Union Level 5 Coach as well as holding Scottish Mountain Leader Training Boards Summer and Winter Awards.

His particular passion is the outdoors and those activities which take place in an expedition or journey context, hence the emphasis placed on ski touring and open canoeing in Beyond Adventure programmes.

Stephen Macdonald acts as Technical Advisor to many Outdoor Centres across the UK in both open canoeing and kayaking. If you would be interested in this service please email Stephen at Beyond Adventure with details of your requirements.

Biscuit

Biscuit remains on our full time staff for a sixfth year. He has paddled in many different countries but luckily for Beyond Adventure he continues to make his home in Aberfeldy.
Biscuit enjoys doing anything in the outdoors - the wilder the better !

Laura

Laura has returned for yet another busy season. We welcome her cheery smile & camp fire cooking to Beyond Adventure. Laura is a Level 3 Canoe Coach but her other qualifications see her leading groups on bikes or on the hill - or a mixture of both.

Dave

Dave Walsh jonied the Beyond Adventure team from Abernethy Ardeonaig last year and we are very pleased to welcome him back for this 2011 season.

Craig

Craig Forsythe worked with us for the summer months last year but is returning for the season on a full time basis. Its much better than being a ski chalet chef isn't it Craig ???

In the Office....

Holding the fort when we're out there is Julie Rhys (and sometimes Steve) who looks after all things administrative.

Our team is further enhanced by our associate staff; key amongst whom are Anna Sibbald, Stuart Bell, Vic Rastall & Tom Sibbald. Dan has gone to Canade for a 2nd season to work as a paddle guide but we hope he will be back for 2012.
