Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions
Beyond Adventure have been providing Duke of Edinburgh training and assessment programmes for a number of years for schools & youth groups
Our training expeditions include expedition planning, packing, route cards, facilitating the group to a decision re their assessment expedition aim, as well as the necessary skills training. At the end of the training expedition, students will receive an action plan to facilitate them moving to assessment.
We also provide further skills training days as required.
Assessment
Beyond Adventure will provide an instructor on training courses and an expedition supervisor for assessment expeditions per group of 5-7 participants (this number changes to 6-8 for open canoe journeys) We can provide an assessor if necessary.
Locations
Throughout Scotland or Europe and North America by arrangement. We like to work with your School or College to arrange a venue which suits your students skills and previous experience.
In keeping with the aims of the award students are expected to provide their own personal equipment and food. Beyond Adventure can provide specialist equipment (e.g. canoes, buoyancy aids etc).
