I am local to Aberfeldy and I wanted them to enjoy our lovely place. We booked an afternoon. Paddle boarding down the Tay and it was just brilliant! Start to finish such good fun. The team loved it and lots of laughs from start to finish. Our experience levels were all the way from beginner to coach and did not matter. Would totally recommend. Support this local business. Perfect bespoke family adventure I wanted to book a trip for a family group of mixed ability and requirements and Beyond Adventure couldn’t have been more helpful. They suggested a canoe trip to Loch Fascally so everyone could participate and the more adventurous could jump off a rock into the pool by the waterfall. Will was the perfect host and gave us a great tip on where to see some magical local wildlife. (If you want to know what it was, you’ll have to book with them! recommended!read moreread less

I've done a little kayaking before and just wanted to enjoy a couple of trips out, going at the right pace with a little bit of challenge here and there. Mark took me out on both occasions and was an excellent guide. We did a 3hr private SUP afternoon with Mark. From the start it was excellent, friendly and fun. Mark was great with the group, two children aged 8 and 12yrs who had more experience than mum and dad! We were kitted out with wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets before setting off. The afternoon was a highlight of our trip. Mark even took some GoPro photos and videos (with consent) of the family whilst out and has emailed them over afterwards (so no worries about losing or damaging our phones!). We spent the afternoon on the boards going down the River Tay, played a few games/challenges and even got to swim/float through some small rapids after explanation of safety. Myself and my 2 children, aged 8 and 12, booked a gorge walking trip with Beyond Adventure. The booking process, with Jules, was friendly and effortless. Our guide, Mark, was very professional, filled us with confidence and was clearly a very experienced guide. He was fun, friendly and safe. He really made the trip very enjoyable. I would strongly recommend this trip to others and we will be going back ourselves!
When I asked my 12 year old son Christopher what he thought about the trip and Mark, he said:-
"He did a good safety brief. Told us how to acclimatise more quickly to the water temperature. I trusted him. The (optional) big drop at the end was adrenalinie!"
When I asked my 8 year old daughter Grace what she thought about the trip and Mark, she said:-
"Mark made me feel safe".
"The third rock slide was so cool".
"You don't need to get forced to go off big jumps if you don't want to."
"I want to do it again".

Donna W8/13/2026A must do in Aberfeldy Ross arranged for a paddle boarding session on the river, for my children and nephews.
Pete, their guide was unbelievable with them all: They spent 3 hours with him and they left big fans of paddle boarding, and big fans of Pete! He delivered a safe, knowledgeable, fun, energetic and educational experience for our kids who's ages ranged from 8 to 18.

I was sure I wouldn’t be able to stand up as I am 60 but I did (although it’s not necessary to stand and have a great time). My daughter (21) absolutely loved it too. Our companion was ‘Frenchie’ and he was so helpful. Notwithstanding the weather (sometimes cold, sometimes rainy, often sunny) we had a wonderful time and are immensely grateful to Beyond Adventure for taking such care of our safety and comfort. Two capsizes allowed our guys to show their professionalism, and every lunchtime breakfast and supper allowed them to show their culinary skills. We were treated to freshly made food that coped with a number of food intolerance and had large quantities of excellent food. Special mention must go to the ‘office ninjas’ of Beyond Adventure who provided us with chocolate brownies, home-made custard creams and flapjacks all of which were delicious. We enjoyed high-quality equipment, tents with space to spare and waterproofs that worked. Having been the organiser it is apparent that the team enjoy working for this company and it shows in the positive, enthusiastic and humorous interactions throughout. This review is more noteworthy in that a number of the participants were reluctant campers (ant best) and found the attention to their warmth and catering impressive. Tina Davies8/07/2026We had a wonderful week in Kenmore our English, Scottish & Dutch family together. The trip was made even better by meeting Pete & Ross at Beyond Adventure where we did cycling, rock climbing & canoeing. Pete was our guide for 2 of the activities. He was absolutely amazing, professional & so friendly but most of all made us feel totally relaxed & safe. We would highly recommend if you want some outdoor adventure make a stop here. I knew straight away when we arrived it would be good. Will was friendly, chatty and enthusiastic. He offered them a choice of three different trips. They had a good selection of wetsuits and nice comfortable changing facilities. The trip they took was amazing - fantastic views and Will had some great chat about the area. They had some prior paddleboarding experience but were a bit rusty - Will was great at helping them get back into it again. They both had a fab time - said it was the highlight of our holiday. I chose Beyond Adventure on the basis of the good Google reviews and now I can see why they are rated so highly. Such a personable and friendly guy!Lucky enough for just two of us to book on the Kayaking slot. Will let us have a choice of where we wanted to go - of course we picked the one with a bumpy ending. We didn’t take our phones for photos but Will took plenty for us.Got to meet a few other staff members and they were also all so friendly, and had great patter. Karen Lynch7/20/2026We’re just back from a couple of weeks holiday near Aberfeldy that coincided beautifully with some gorgeous weather. We (my son 13 & I) went out three times with Beyond Adventure over our holiday, and had a brilliant time each time on the half day expeditions. We did kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding and I can’t recommend them enough. The SUP has been a particular winner because that was the one my son wasn’t sure he would enjoy but I think it ended up being his favourite! The instructors knew how to give some instruction to a teenager and get plenty laughs from them while still keeping them safe on the water.
