BRITISH CANOEING COACHING DIPLOMA – CONGRATULATIONS MR MAC

The British Canoeing Coaching Diploma (formally Level 4) is a 2 year programme that aims to support the developmentĀ of coaches as visionary and knowledgeable decision makers, with exceptional skills, behaviours and the highest professional and ethical standards. The Coaching Diploma is currently in its forth intake of students.

As part of theĀ Coaching Diploma, students complete aĀ PostgraduateĀ Diploma and have the option ofĀ eitherĀ graduating with the Postgraduate Diploma or transferring onto a Performance Coaching MSc.

The Performance Coaching MSc sits outside the British Canoeing Coaching Diploma and is an innovative online learning degree for those who wish to extend their expertise and will further developĀ skills of critical analysis and reflective practice, enhance problem-solving capacity and promote innovative solutions to performance coaching problems. This is accessed by coaches across many different sports.

Beyond Adventure are very proud that the director and founder of BA Steve MacDonald was the first Coaching Diploma graduate to complete the MSc and in 2015, he won the prize for the bestĀ Stirling University MSc Performance Coaching Applied Coaching Project for his year group.

It has been won by British Canoeing Coaching Diploma students ever since with Doug Cooper winning the prize in 2016 and Calum McNicol in 2017.

This is a credit to the calibre of students that have been through the Coaching Diploma programme and to their learning and development and is a great achievement for the Coaching Diploma graduates.

Beyond AdventureĀ would like to congratulate all three coachesĀ on their achievements.
