OPEN CANOE OPEN WATER COACH AWARD
The British Canoeing Open Water Canoe Coach Award is for coaches wishing to develop learners in canoes, on large areas of open water, where the paddlers are no more than 500 metres off shore and in wind strengths that do not exceed Beaufort force 4.
If you’re looking to coach canoeing on open water, this two day training focuses on how to coach the technical and tactical skills for canoeists on open water. The course will help you plan and deliver safe, enjoyable, progressive coaching sessions and you’ll explore specifics to help you coach some typical learners relevant to you and the open water environment.

To become an Open Water Canoe Coach, you will need to successfully complete a one day, mainly practical assessment. This will include assessment of your practical coaching and safety and rescue skills; supplemented with professional discussion and questioning.

OPEN CANOE WHITE WATER COACH AWARD
The British Canoeing Awarding Body Coach Award is or coaches wishing to develop learners in canoes, on Grade 2(3) white water or equivalent weirs.
If you’re looking to coach white water canoe on moderate water, this two day training focuses on how to coach the technical and tactical skills for white water canoeists. This mainly practical based course will help you plan and deliver safe, enjoyable, progressive coaching sessions and you’ll explore specifics to help you coach some typical learners relevant to you and the white water environment.
