Looking to expand your canoe skills, learn new techniques or want to improve your confidence on the water?
This year we are running a series of skills workshops throughout the winter, focussing on improving your technique in various different venues.
So, whether you want to expand your skills on the open waters of a highland loch, learn how to control your canoe in moving water for the first time or learn how to journey using traditional skills, these days are perfect for you.
Choose whether to come for an individual day, a couple or all of them, it is up to you! Check out the dates and prices below..

| 1st December | Open Water Tandem Skills | 8 | Paddle Techniques, working together with efficient paddling, weather and venue planning, trimming your boat. |
| 2nd December | Open Water Solo Skills | 6 | Paddle Techniques, choosing the right stroke, weather and venue planning, trimming your boat. |
| 8th December | Intro to Moving Water (Up to Grade 1) | 6 | River reading and interpreting river features, change of speed and direction, river safety and making good choices. |
| 9th December | White Water Skills. (up to Grade 2) | 6 | Identifying and using river features, waves, eddies, line choice, checking and setting. |
| 15th December | Open Water Skills Progression (with Traditional skills) | 8 | planning and journeying, dealing with condition changes, tracking and poling, improvised sailing. |
| 16th December | White Water Skills Progression (with Traditional Skills) | 6 | planning and journeying, poling, tracking, lining and snubbing. |
| 22nd December | Traditional Skills | 6 | an in depth look into Traditional skills such as lining, tracking, poling and snubbing. |
Canoe Skills Workshops
Winter can be a fantastic time for getting on the water. With good crisp days and dependable water levels, we can choose a venue to suit our needs each day.
This is an ideal way to practice and develop new skills whilst having the comfort of a professional coach to keep you safe and offer fantastic, bespoke coaching throughout the day.
We are passionate about canoeing and helping people on their journey to become better paddlers. Beyond Adventure are a certified British Canoeing Delivery Partner, not only coaching people every day but also running qualification courses for guides.
