BLUE COURSE

A trip that is best suited to those that have canoeing experience with techniques such as portaging and paddling in more exposed areas of open water. A good level of fitness for the hills on rugged paths is also necessary.

This part of Scotland is a true wild area and as such can be very remote and challenging, awesomely beautiful and humbling of anyone.

Journey according to Nature’s whim and we must be prepared to accept her moods!

From our standing camp near Altandhu we have the perfect springboard to adventure to the far reaches of this amazing area, choosing what adventure is best suited to the weather conditions.

Having driven up from Inverness, we will travel straight to the heart of Assynt. The rest of the day we will start our adventure, whether that is by climbing a classic peak like Stac Pollaidh or exploring one of the amazing lochs.

Highlights of this trip include Lochs Veyatie and Sionascaig and mountains such as Suilven and Cul Mor, mountains are often best travelled to via canoe.

This area is one of the last true wilderness areas in the UK, canoeing and hiking are the perfect way to immerse yourself in this unique experience.
