Gift Voucher — Beaver Safari Canoe Experience
Give the gift of magic and discovery with a Beaver Safari Canoe Experience — an evening paddle that blends wildlife, tranquillity, and wonder on the River Tay near Aberfeldy. A perfect gift for nature lovers, couples, families, or anyone wanting a memorable wild-evening by water.
Join your wildlife guide in Aberfeldy for an immersive canoe safari as twilight falls. After meeting, you’ll receive full instruction in canoeing and safety, then paddle quietly along the river under the guidance of an expert from Beyond Adventure and Perthshire Wildlife. You’ll search for beaver-lodges, dams, chewed trees, and other signs of beaver activity — and perhaps, if luck is on your side, you’ll see the beavers themselves. All essential equipment is included, as is a little keepsake to remember the evening.
-
Duration & timing: 2 to 2.5 hours in the evening (meeting around 6.30 pm).
-
Age & group size: Suitable for ages 12 and up. Group sizes between ~4 and 10 people. Private tours can also be arranged.
-
What you’ll see & do: Paddle quietly by canoe, explore riverside habitat, spot birdlife, beaver dams, lodges, chewed wood, maybe see beavers themselves, and enjoy local wildlife such as kingfishers, sand martins, or herons.
-
What’s provided / what to bring: Canoe, paddles, buoyancy aids, safety gear, guiding by wildlife experts, and a small beaver memento. Bring warm layers (evenings by water can be chilly), waterproof clothing, suitable footwear, maybe a torch, and patience for wildlife watching.
-
Availability: Tours run seasonally (May through September), with selected dates. When scheduled evenings are unavailable, private trips may be arranged.
This Beaver Safari isn’t just an outing — it’s a chance to slow down, tune into nature, witness wildlife in their natural habitat, and bask in the stillness of the river at dusk. A wonderful gift for anyone who treasures beauty, peace, and the wild side of Scotland.
