The River Tay Way Hub is OPEN!
Our new toilet and changing facilities are open and ready for (after) your adventures!
We already know that leading the way in green initiatives involves more than just using recycled loo roll and putting the recycling out. In our case, it meant recognising a problem that isn’t unique to us and figuring out a way to address it.
Our green policy isn't just a page at the back of our website, it is a thread that runs through our entire business. This is the next step in providing the tools for the community and tourists to use our amazing landscape responsibly.
Partnering with the Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust and Perth and Kinross Council we applied for the Rural Tourism Infrastructure Fund from Visit Scotland to build new facilities for the local area. We’re thrilled to officially open our toilet and changing block, with public toilets available 24/7, changing/shower facilities open 9 - 5, and grey waste disposal for camper vans available all the time.
We’re stoked to see a huge rise in outdoor activity. Not just with us – people across the UK are spending more time in the outdoors, and we couldn’t be happier. However, the increase in wild camping and campervans across Scotland has highlighted a key issue – there is a lack of facilities equipped to deal with increased wild traffic across Scotland!
Beyond Adventure is conveniently situated directly on the Rob Roy Way, and the newly opened River Tay Way. Whilst we don’t have overnight campervan parking, our new facilities include a shelter with guide maps showing different routes, local businesses, and things to enjoy in the surrounding area. Our facilities mean you can grab a hot shower after cold, wet, muddy activities, and our team is always on hand to help you find your next adventure!
Pop into our office or give us a call to ask about changing room availability, and we hope that your adventures are warmer, dryer and longer with the advantages of our beautiful new facilties!
“We’re delighted that the River Tay Way Hub is now open to the public. We hope these facilities will make it easier for those looking to make use of the area’s tracks and trails, as well for those looking to head out onto the river.
