DofE AWARD EXPEDITIONS
Beyond Adventure are a fully licensed and registered Approved Activity Provider with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
For over 15 years we have been working with schools and youth groups to deliver quality expedition packages at bronze silver and gold levels.
Our training and practice expeditions include expedition planning, packing, route cards, facilitating the group to a decision re their assessment expedition aim, as well as the necessary skills training. At the end of the practice expedition, students will receive an action plan to facilitate them moving to assessment and their qualifying expedition.
Our experienced and fully qualified instructors will keep your groups safe whilst ensuring they have an amazing time on their DofE Award expedition.

One Supervisor per group.
Planning Days to prepare expedition routes
Training Days to ensure each group is ready for their chosen mode of transport

Beyond Adventure have facilitated our DofE Expeditions section by staffing our Silver and Gold participants since 2008. From walking to canoeing expeditions their friendly staff instil confidence and help the pupils fulfil their goals in what can often be a challenging environment. The Beyond Adventure staff are always helpful, in the planning stages communication is straightforward and the process simple.

Thank you so much for your huge organisation, good humour and fine effort in leading our S5 group safely across some very beautiful , (if wet !), parts of central Scotland. The pupils responded very well to your encouraging style of coaching and they all grew as young people which was the central aim. We really enjoyed the experience from you Mark and the input from Alex which were both spot on. I think they really enjoyed and benefited from the several modes of travel and from the different environments.

METHODS OF TRAVEL
We can offer training and assessment using the following methods of journey:
Open canoe
Walking
Mountain Biking
Sea kayaking/ touring kayaks
Paddleboards
Each training or assessment group should contain a minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 participants. (For open canoe groups numbers will be either 6 or 8 to facilitate doubles paddling.)
We can provide further skills training days as required for those wishing to undertake a river or sea journey or an off road route on mountain bikes.
WHERE WE GO
We work all over Scotland utilising the amazing wild land in the Highlands. We have also organised oversees expedition throughout Europe and North America.
SAFETY
Your trust in Beyond Adventure is very well placed. Our outstanding safety record is backed up by being fully licensed with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and British Canoeing. Each group will also have
A fully qualified, experienced supervisor.
A base contact from Beyond Adventure that is on call for the duration of the expedition
Emergency equipment (carried with the supervisor)
